Tulsa ER & Hospital Implements Dual Care Strategy for Optimal Patient Safety

If you or a loved one are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, we are here to help. However, lacerations, broken bones, and other illnesses don’t stop for a pandemic, and neither do we.

With our new Dual Care initiative, you can be treated for all ailments unrelated to COVID-19, in a separate, safe environment. We have two “tracks” at our facility; an entrance, lobby, and rooms for potential COVID patients, and our main entrance, lobby, and ER open for other emergencies.  We do this to give families an extra level of security regarding their health and to avoid cross-contamination.

How We Do It

Our Dual Care model allows us to treat non-COVID and potential COVID patients separately, thus ensuring no virus exposure to patients seeking care.

If you visit our facility and are not experiencing COVID-19 symptoms:

1. We still mask and screen each patient upon arrival, to check for any potential COVID-19 patients.
2. We will direct you to use our primary ER entrance, separate from our secluded entrance for potential COVID patients.
3. We will treat you in a private, sanitized room with easy access to our CT Scan, X-Ray, and ultrasound machines.

If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms:

1. Call us before you come in so that we can prepare for your arrival. You can reach us at 918-517-6300 and check-in online at tulsaer.com.
2. We will direct you through our designated private entrance, straight into a reserved, thoroughly sanitized room separate from the main ER.
3. We practice the latest testing recommendations with advanced diagnostics and treatment protocols.

Symptoms of COVID-19 can take 2-14 days to appear, and include:

• Fever
• Cough
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• Chills
• Repeated shaking with chills
• Muscle pain
• Headache
• Sore throat
• New loss of taste or smell
